About the Recipe

We’re passionate about creating products that elevate every dish. Our Ricotta Salata is crafted using traditional methods, delivering a creamy, salty flavor that’s perfect for balancing bold and fresh ingredients. Because great food starts with great cheese!

Ingredients

  • 200g Brown’s Dairy Ricotta Salata, thinly sliced (creamy, salty, and perfect for balancing flavors!)

  • 2 cups fresh arugula (or mixed greens)

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (or lemon juice for a brighter twist)

  • Freshly cracked black pepper

  • Flaky sea salt (optional, for finishing)

Preparation

Prepare the Ingredients:

Thinly slice the Brown’s Dairy Ricotta Salata.

Halve the cherry tomatoes and thinly slice the red onion.

Assemble the Dish:

On a large platter or individual plates, arrange the arugula as a base.

Scatter the cherry tomatoes and red onion slices over the greens.

Lay the slices of Brown’s Dairy Ricotta Salata on top.

Finish and Serve:

Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Season with freshly cracked black pepper and a pinch of flaky sea salt, if desired.

Serve immediately as a light appetizer or side dish.

Health Benefit

This dish is a light, nutritious option that’s packed with flavor! Brown’s Dairy Ricotta Salata is rich in calcium and protein, while the arugula and tomatoes provide vitamins A and C. The olive oil adds heart-healthy fats, making this a balanced and wholesome choice.

Tip

  • Add protein: Top with grilled chicken, shrimp, or chickpeas for a heartier meal.

  • Switch it up: Use watermelon or peaches instead of tomatoes for a sweet and savory twist.

  • Perfect pairing: Serve with Brown’s Food Co. Crackers or a crusty baguette for added texture.
